As a general agency of MEBA Yugoslavia and STORM Italy, Messzeuge- und Industriebetriebstechnik (MIB) was established in 1977 by Wolfgang Meurer. In a modest office in Spangenberg, North Hesse, the sale of analog measuring instruments was first initiated. The business relocated to the parents' property, the former Hotel Schützenhaus, in 1980. A prosperous business that continues to this day to distribute measuring devices globally evolved from the nexus of dance and society.The initial appearance at the Cologne Hardware Fair in February 1980 turned out to be the perfect venue for the global expansion of the sale of measurement equipment. Participation has continued to this day because to its success. The first agencies emerged as suppliers of measuring instruments in Holland, Belgium, and Italy.
