AKKO's story also highlights the recent history of the Turkish manufacturing industry. With the growth of both the supply and main industries in Turkey, AKKO, named after "Abdullah Karakuş and Sons," began its journey in 1986 as a production workshop focused on spare parts. Like the Turkish industry, AKKO expanded rapidly, with increasing production demands. When a tool used in metal processing failed to meet his standards, lathe master Abdullah Karakuş declared, "We must produce this in the best possible way and show it to the whole world!" This vision led AKKO to start manufacturing industrial tools. Transitioning from spare parts, AKKO began creating tools that shape metal, transforming from a small workshop into a full-fledged factory due to the high quality of its products.
At AKKO, utilizing the most advanced production technologies and engineering practices of the time, along with continuous investments in R&D and P&D, the manufacturing process starts with raw materials entering the factory and ends with the shipment of the final product. Every step of the process occurs within the company, ensuring consistent quality.
The values that propelled AKKO from a 90 m² workshop to its first 8,000 m² factory, and then to a massive 40,000 m² production facility built on the "Smart Factory" concept, include an unwavering commitment to quality standards, a customer satisfaction-oriented approach, and a passion for exports.
Today, AKKO's tools shape metal and add value to production with the "Made in Türkiye" mark in 90 countries.
Our Products
At AKKO, we manufacture Turning Tools, Threading and Grooving Tools, Drilling Tools, Milling Tools, and Special Tools.
With an annual production capacity of 750,000 tools and 70,000 profile inserts, and offering 10,000 standard product types, we utilize state-of-the-art machinery and equipment sourced from Turkey, Japan, Germany, Sweden, and Switzerland.
To better meet the production needs of our partners, we are continually expanding our product range, now including tool holders, which are essential for production. Additionally, we are the sole domestic manufacturer of special inserts in Turkey.
Beyond our extensive product range, we maintain a stock of 300,000 products to save our partners valuable time.
